Homeschool Language Arts Curriculum Options

Parents who follow an eclectic homeschool approach prefer to go for a rigorous homeschool language arts curriculum that often comes as a standalone, instead of being part of a boxed curriculum. Some homeschool curricula have better language arts programs than others. This will be a resource page for all the curricula and resources we have used, or have experienced.

As a parent, you will need to decide on the skills that are critical for your child. When we started this journey, reading and writing were our focus. The best language arts homeschool curriculum is the one that will build the needed skills. Generally speaking, a comprehensive language arts program should include (at varying degrees) reading, writing, vocabulary, speech, grammar, spelling etc.

One curriculum may lack in one area, but it can always be supplemented by other resources like worksheets and other homeschool language arts resources.
